Yeşim Kurtaiş Aytür
Yeşim Kurtaiş Aytür, MD, completed her medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and got her specialty degree at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1994. Since 1995 she has been working as a faculty member at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She became associate professor in 1998 and professor in 2004. In 2011, she received a minor in Algology. She has contributed to the establishment of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation and Fibromyalgia Outpatient Units. Besides general practice in rheumatological diseases, her main areas of interest are cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, transplantation rehabilitation, exercise, neurological rehabilitation, neuropathic pain, and fibromyalgia/myofascial pain syndromes. Yeşim Kurtaiş Aytür is the engagement director of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Fibromyalgia Outpatient Units and she held the presidency of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Working Group of Turkish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists until this year. She has nearly 100 national and international scientific articles, more than 100 presentations, nearly 20 book chapters and translations, 7 completed national and international project studies and 8 scientific awards. She is married with two children.
