C. Tayyar Şaşmaz
I was born on November 25, 1971 in Çetmi Village of Amasya Gümüşhacıköy. I had my primary school education in Çetmi village and my secondary and high school education in Amasya Atatürk High School. I graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. In 2001, I got my specialty from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine Department of Public Health. Since 2001, I have been working as a faculty member at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Department of Public Health. I became an Associate Professor of Public Health in 2007 and was appointed Professor of Public Health in 2013. In 2010, I worked as the Scientific Secretary of the First School Health Symposium in Mersin. I took part in the following School Health Symposiums as either an organizing board member or a scientific committee member. Between 2010 and 2016, I took part in the board of directors of HASUDER and naturally I took part in the Public Health Congress Regulatory Boards between these years. I have been working as the Editor-in-Chief of HASUDER since 2010. Since 2010, Journal of Public Health Management of Turkey, I am also an editor of the Journal of Mersin University Health Sciences since 2015. Immunization, infectious disease control and epidemiological methods are among my main areas of interest. I am currently participating as a researcher in an international project titled “The Global Burden Attributable to Childhood and Adolescent Headache Disorders”. I have more than 80 articles published in national or international journals, 32 of which are in the SCI index. About 800 citations have been made to my articles in SCI index, and "h index" is calculated as 17 in Web of SCI.
