Sibel Sakarya
After graduating from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in İzmir (1989), Dr. Sakarya has completed her specialist training on Public Health at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. She has got her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1998 and her master’s degree in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands, in 2006.
She worked in Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Public Health between 1996 and 2018. Since 2018 she has been working at Koç University School of Medicine, Department of Public Health. Her major areas of interest include epidemiology and management of chronic diseases, health promotion and migration health.
She is a member of the International Medical Education Accreditation Board (UTEAK). She has been Chief Editor of Turkish Journal of Public Health between 2009-2020. She has more than 50 research articles published in International journals; H index is 16.
