Sarp Üner
Prof. Dr. Sarp Üner graduated from Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School (1981) and Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (1987). Prof. Üner completed his master’s degree in Public Health in 2000 and his PhD degree in Public Health in 2006 at the Department of Public Health, Institute of Health Sciences, Hacettepe University.
After working in Istanbul and Ankara health centers and Ankara Health Directorate for more than ten years after graduation, Prof. Dr. Sarp Üner started as a research assistant at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Department of Public Health in 2000 and became an associate professor in 2010 and a professor in 2015. Prof. Üner, who retired from Hacettepe University Public Health Institute in 2020, is still a faculty member at Lokman Hekim University Faculty of Medicine Department of Public Health.
Prof. Dr. Sarp Üner's main areas of interest are health management, health manpower and health services planning. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Foundation of Health and Social Assistance and Association of Public Health Professionals. Üner's areas of work in recent years are mainly communicable and non-communicable diseases.
