Rabia Çakir Koç

After completing his undergraduate studies at Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Biological Sciences, she carried out his Master's and PhD studies in Yıldız Technical University, Department of Bioengineering. She completed her master thesis study on cell culture techniques and cytotoxicity and PhD studies on the development of Vaccine against Leishmaniasis, as the production of vaccine at laboratory scale and the evaluation of vaccine efficacy in experimental animals.
She worked as an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering Department of Yeni Yüzyıl University and Bioengineering Department of Yıldız Technical University. She earned the title of Associate Professor in the field of Bioengineering with the keywords Biotechnology and Animal-Tissue Culture.
In the field of biotechnology; she has worked as an executive, researcher or consultant in more than 15 research projects related to Vaccine, Antibody, Drug and Diagnostic Kit Development supported by TÜBİTAK, Ministries (Health, Agriculture etc.), and Higher Education Institution. She also took place as the representative of Turkey for 3 years in a Food-Borne Parasites COST project.
Nearly 150 scientific works have been published including research articles in international journals, international scientific book chapters, and meeting abstracts in national and international congresses. In the field of bioengineering, there are many ongoing and completed master's and doctoral theses on vaccines, diagnosis, medicine and nanotechnology.
