Gül Ergör
Dr. Gul Ergor is currently Professor of Public Health at the Dokuz Eylul University Medical School, Izmir. She recieved her medical degree from the same university and completed her residency at Hacettepe University in Ankara, and her MPH at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She was the head of the Dept of Public Health, during 2006-2012. Dr. Ergor has been teaching epidemiology in graduate and undergraduate courses as well as continuing education courses for clinicians. She is also involved in teaching Evidence Based Medicine courses to faculty members and residents as a member of the EBM committee. Non-communicable disease epidemiology is her main research interest area. Other interest areas are communicable disease surveillance and cancer epidemiology. She is currently the head of the curriculum committee for Epidemiology Training Program for physicians at the Ministry of Health. Dr. Ergor is married and is a mother of twin boys.
