Emel Okulu
She was born in Çankırı in 1976. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Çankırı. She graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2000. She has completed her residency program in the Department of Pediatrics and her fellowship in Neonatology in the Division of Neonatology of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. She has been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto and in the Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Currently she is working as an attending Neonatologist and a Faculty Member as associate professor in Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics, Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, since December 2015. She has published papers in national and international journals and conference proceedings. Her research interests are extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in newborn and management of ductus arteriosus. She is proficient in English. She is married and has two kids.
