Alper Akçalı
Graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1998. Finished his specialisation in Medical Microbiology at Refik Saydam Hygiene Center, Turkey in 2002. Worked at Virology Reference Laboratory between 2002-2008 and was head of the National Polio Laboratory for 2 years. He is now working at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University School of Medicine. Main interest area are; - Diagnosis of viral infections - Molecular typing of microorganisms - Quality management in microbiology laboratory. He visited Paul Ehrlich and Robert Koch Institute, Sanger Center and Groningen University Medical Microbiology Department for short periods. He is responsible for Covid Diagnosis laboratory in Çanakkale City since April 2020. He is a member of ESCMID Study Group for Epidemiological Markers. Also he is a member of Turkish society of clinical microbiology board of ethics since 2019.
